On-the-Flat Watertables On-the-Flat Watertables are watertables set in a stretcher and header position. These special shapes allow sections of brick to protrude beyond the wall surface to give the brick more dimension and shadows. Watertables can also be used to create shelves or bands when placed right-side up, or cornices and entablatures when used upside-down.
